What it is

community-funded climate communications charity that does not fund candidates and is not a field campaign. For this cycle it published *Shifting the Suburbs* (October 2026), a RedBridge-polled messaging guide on talking with suburban Australians about climate and energy1 .

This cycle

No Victorian 2026 party scorecard or election report had been published as of 15 October 2026. The organisation's Victorian work has been advocacy and submissions, including a submission on the 2026–30 Climate Change Strategy and welcomes for the all-electric new homes rule and the household gas phase-out1 . Its volunteer page states it is not currently seeking volunteers; the public pathways are donations, community webinars and free media training through the Climate Media Centre2 .

Reflections

In 2019 the Council's Amanda McKenzie said the Stop Adani convoy "was a mistake", that the movement needed to show communities could benefit from change, and that groups failed to amplify a strong climate platform by letting the perfect get in the way of the good3 . Its 2022 federal analysis credited "brilliant local campaigning" and voters' direct experience of disaster for swings to pro-climate candidates4 .
