Do you know the 'Lomo' social site?

ver the past few weeks, I’ve increasingly found that when I ask people—specifically those who shoot primarily on film—whether they have a "Lomohome," they respond with total confusion, asking what that even is. To my surprise, many seem to be unfamiliar with this little network. So, I figured I’d tell you a bit about it today.

What is Lomohome?

Lomohome is, in effect, the social network of the Vienna-based company Lomography. You could call it the mecca of analog photography. It is a centralized social network focused exclusively on sharing analog photographs. It is clearly an outlier in today’s internet landscape—but, in my opinion, that is precisely why it is so important. If you love analog photography and are looking for a community dedicated solely to that pursuit, you should seriously consider creating an account there.

Does that make sense? How big is 'Lomohome'?

As of today, 19,083,600 photos have been published on Lomohome. The exact number of accounts is not precisely known. New photos are added sporadically—sometimes more, sometimes fewer. Regardless, you can discover a wealth of fantastic analog photos here; that alone makes it worth a visit. You don’t even need an account to do so. Why not drop by and see for yourself?

What I like about 'Lomohome'

You don’t need to own a Lomo camera or use Lomo-branded film to be welcome here. Sure, analog photos in the "Lomo style" are especially appreciated, but over time, this place has evolved into a safe space for analog photography in general. I value this community for its fantastic interaction and openness toward everything analog—from cyanotypes and instant photography to wet-plate processes and experimental work. Anything analog is welcome here. Honestly, do you know of any other place like this on the internet? I don’t. If analog photography is your passion, you should definitely check it out.
